Department Overview

Inorganic ink is a special type of ink that is used for the surface of glass cups and glass bottles, and black trimming of automotive window glass.
While ink for photogravure or offset printing is composed of resin elements, inorganic ink is composed of glass powder and inorganic pigment. The ink melts onto glass by treating its main component, glass powder, with a high temperature (500~700ーC). Inorganic ink has semi-permanent durability, thus it never disfigures unless the coated glass is broken.
The durability and electric properties which are specific properties of glass have been contributing to the development of the latest technology as glass powder and paste for electronics components.
